Directions: Sharon and I have a unique story of meeting. Unique, because we can’t actually remember the first time we met and we will both tell you different stories. Sharon and her husband, Tracy, have been ministering around the world for nearly 40 years. For many years Sharon played the Piano for Tracy as they traveled from church to church. The Dartts ministered on Campobello Island on many occasions, but in 1981 their son, Stoney and I spent an hour in the same nursery....little did we all know that someday I would make the fourth person in their quartet. Funny how the Lord works! I remember meeting the Dartts in 2004 on a Gospel cruise. I apparently gave my choir sheet music to Sharon to use in rehearsal (they were late). Thats what she remembers. Now 10 years later I can honestly call Sharon family. She is my mom on the road, a mentor and a Godly woman who often reminds me of my own grandma. Sharon often jokes about her life as a grandma. For many years, she traveled full time so she never had the advantage of playing the role of grandma until an unexpected turn of events kept her and Tracy at home for a couple years. During that time, she enjoyed the very special role and was able to play a vital part in the life of one of the newer additions to the family, Nolan Dartt. Sharon will be the first to tell you she does not cook, but I found that to be very UNTRUE! We joke about making a video on the bus of the many things you can cook using a microwave. In this book are a few of my favorites along with some favorites by her family.... |
