6 small Apples (peeled & cored)

Dough:
2 cups Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt
3/4 cup Crisco Shortening
1/2 cup Milk

Sauce: (boil 5 minutes)
2 cups Sugar
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
1/4 tsp. Cinnamon
1/4 cup Butter
2 cups Water

Directions:
Directions:
Roll dough 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 6 squares, each 5 inches wide. Place apple in center of each square. Fill apple with 2 tsp brown sugar, dash of cinnamon, and a little butter. Fold each corner of dough over apple, then place in baking pan about 1 inch apart. Pour sauce over them and bake 35 to 40 minutes in preheated 375º oven.
