3 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 unbaked pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together the eggs, sugar and syrup. Add chopped pecans, vanilla and butter. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Pour ingredients into pie shell. Bake at 375 for five (5) minutes and then lower the temperature to 325 degrees. Bake approximately 50 minutes or until done.

This is my mother's recipe, Maurine Harris Broome Sleeth. Her pecan pies are famous at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston, LA.
