1/2 cup shortening,
1 3/4 cups flour,
1 teaspoon soda,
2 teaspoons cream of tartar,
1/2 cup cocoa,
1/2 cup sweet milk,
2 cups rolled oats,
vanilla,
salt

Directions:
Mix sugar,egg, and shortening together.
Sift flour,soda,cream of tartar and cocoa together.
Add to the first mixture.
Now add sweet milk, rolled oats, vanilla, salt
