butter bread and pat on brown sugar.put on med hot frying pan brown sugar side down. let set for a short time until you can start slowly moving the bread around because the brown sugar is melting. Keep moving the bread around gently until the sugar is all melted then carefully grab the edge and flop it on to a plate sugar side up.

all of us kids ate this in the evening . I still get hungry for a sweet sometimes at night and i will whip this up in a hurry. You have to eat this when it is still warm and even if you are not much of a milk drinker it is delicious with a glass of cold milk
