2 c.peeled and diced apples
1 c.sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 c chopped nuts
3/4 c raisins
1tsp vanilla

topping
1/4 c b.sugar
1/2 c water
1/4 c white sugar
1 tblsp flour
1/2 stick butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 c chopped nuts
1/4 c raisins

Directions:
Directions:
mix apples and sugar together; let stand until sugar is dissolved. Add eggs,mix well.Sift dry ingredients together. Stir into apple mixture. Add nuts, raisins,and vanilla. Pour into greased 8/8 pan;bake at 375 for 40 to 45 min

topping
mix sugars,flour,and water.Cook until slightly thick and clear. Add rest of ingredients. Stir until butter is melted. Pour over hot baked cake.
