Ingredients:  
1/2 c butter
'2 eggs
1 1/2 c flour
1/2 t salt
1 c sugar
1/2 t vanilla
1 t baking powder

Topping:
1/2 c pecans
2 egg whites
1 c light brown sugar
1/2 t vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Add flour
with salt, baking powder and then vanilla. (very thick) Spread on cookie sheet lined with brown
paper (grocery bag).

Topping:
Cover batter with chopped pecans. Beat egg
whites until semi stiff, fold in brown sugar and
vanilla. Spread over nuts

Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool, then
cut into squares
