1 C. Dried Apricots
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 T. butter
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. orange juice
2 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. soda
1 t. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cover 1 c. dried apricots with hot water and soak 30 min. Drain and cut with scissors into 1/4 inch pieces. MIX thoroughly ----1 c. sugar, 2 T. butter and egg. Stir in: 1/4 c. water and orange juice. SIFT, and stir in 2 c. flour, baking powder, soda and salt. ADD nuts and the apricot pieces. Line bottom of greased loaf pan with wax paper. Pour batter in and let stand for 20 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-65 min. Remove from pan and take paper off immediately.
