1 and 1/4 C unsifted Flour
1/2 t baking soda
1/4 t salt
1/2 C softened butter
1 C granulated sugar (or half granulated and half light brown)
1 slightly beaten egg
1 t vanilla extract
2 C rice krispies
6 oz chocolate bits
Optional: add 6 oz raisins and 6 oz chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In small bowl combine and set aside flour, soda and salt.
In large bowl combine until creamy butter and sugar.
Add egg and vanilla extract.
Blend in flour mixture and add rice krispies and chocolate bits.
Drop onto greased cookie sheet and bake 12-15 minutes, until slightly browned. Cool to store in tins to maintain crispness.
