½ margarine or shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 well beaten egg
1 tablespoon lemon or orange juice
1 tablespoon grated lemon or orange peel
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder dash of salt
½ teaspoon orange or lemon extract
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening, sugar, add egg and beat well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Shape in rolls 1 ½ inches around and wrap in wax paper and chill overnight. Slice , then bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Yields 5 dozen.
