1 gallon glass jar

Slice 5 medium onions then fill jar with sliced cukes.

Syrup:
4 cups vinegar
4 cups sugar
1 teaspoon of tumeric
¼ cup of pickling salt
2 tablespoons pickling spice
or 2 tablespoons each of
mustard and celery seed

Directions:
Directions:
Bring to boil and boil for 5 minutes. Let stand for ½ an hour. Bring to boil again then pour over veggies straining out spice. Seal and let cool. Stir once a day for 5 days. Keep refrigerated for 1 year.
