3 cups flour
1 cup butter (softened)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup sugar
2 eggs

Frosting
3 cups confectionary sugar
1 cup melted butter
2 tbsp milk
splash of vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl add flour, baking soda and baking powder. Cut in softened butter until corn-meal like texture. In separate bowl beat eggs and sugar. Add slowly to flour/butter mixture. Refrigerate for 3 hours. Roll out onto floured surface to 1/2 inch thickness, Use cutouts. Bake at 325º for 10 minutes (won't change much in color).

These are the BEST homemade frosted cookies handed down from the grandmother of a co-worker. My friend uses paper grocery bags to cool the cookies instead of racks. But these have a great soft texture and taste.
