3 c flour
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ginger
½ t soda
1 beaten egg
1 c molasses
½ c shortening
3/4 c strawberry jam
Directions:
Directions:
Mix together egg, molasses and shortening. Sift together dry ingredients. Mix together egg mixture and dry ingredients. Roll out half of dough on cookie sheet. Spread strawberry jam on top of dough. Top with other half of dough. Bake in 350º oven for about 20 to30 minutes or until golden brown.
