1 pkg yeast
1/4 c warm water
1 c milk
1/2 c shortening
1/2 c sugar
3/4 tsp salt
2 beaten eggs
4 1/2 c flour
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 pints fruit

Cream Mixture:
2 beaten eggs
1/2 c rich sour cream
1/2 c sugar
Additional sugar and cinnamon to sprinkle over Kuchen

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Scald milk, add sugar and shortening. Place 3 c flour in large bowl. When the milk mixture is cool add to flour; add eggs, yeast, and nutmeg and beat until smooth. Add rest of lour and knead well. Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise until double. Divide in 4ths. Roll each piece larger than a 10 inch pie plate. Grease 10 inch pie pan only on bottom and place dough in pan. Combine cream mixture ingredients and brush small amount over Kuchen dough. Add fruit by gently pressing into dough. Add additional 5 tbsp of cream mixture to each of the four Kuchens and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Let rise until double. Bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes
