1/2 box raisins
1 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 heaping tsp. cinnamon
1 level tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour milk
3 1/2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins in water to cover, drain and cool.
Preheat oven to 400F.
Mix together butter, salt, sugar, and eggs. Add raisins and spices. Mix baking soda with sour milk.Add this to the spice mixture alternately with flour.
Put batter in a loaf pan.
Bake for 25 minutes at 400F, then reduce heat to 350F for 35 minutes or until it tests done.
