1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 c. light corn syrup
1 lb. (approximately 3 c. - 3 1/2 c.) peanuts, shelled

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven slightly. Lightly grease two cookie sheets. Keep warm in oven. Mix baking soda, 1 tsp.water and vanilla in small bowl. Set aside. Mix sugar, 1 c.of water and corn syrup in large saucepan. Cook over med. high heat until 240º F on candy thermometer. Add peanuts. Continue cooking until it reaches 300º - 305º F on candy thermometer, stirring almost constantly. Watch very carefully and be careful it doesn't burn!!! Quickly stir in vanilla mixture. Pour onto the two pre-warmed cookie sheets. Spread thinly and let cool. Enjoy!!

Make sure you make candy on a dry day. Too much moisture in the air will ruin any good candy recipe.
