2 lg. apples, pared and cored, eacj sliced into 8 wedges.
1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
4 to 5 tbsp. cold water
1 to 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. melted butter
3/4 c. water

Directions:
Prepare apples. Sift flour with salt into mixing bowl. Cut in shortening. Sprinkle cold water over mixture, stirring with spoon until dough is just moist enough to hold together. Form into ball. Flatten to about 1/2 in. thickness. Smooth edges. Roll out on floured surface to 16x10 in. Cut into 16 ten in. strips. Wrap each apple wedge. Arrange in baking pan with melted butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mix. Pour 3/4 c. water around and over. Bake (450*) 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown
