Mildred's Yeast Rolls Recipe

2 Cups sweet milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 pk yeast
1/2 cup Crisco
1 tsp salt
Plain flour
1/2 cup lukewarm water
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
Pinch of soda

Directions:
Directions:
Heat milk to a boil. Add sugar & crisco to hot milk and let cool. Melt yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water. Cool. Add yeast to cooled milk and add flour to make a soft dough.

Set 1 hour

Add 1 1/2 tsp baking powder & pinch of soda. mix

Set 1 hour

Stir and add more flour. Store in refrigerator or roll out & spread melted butter on rolls and let rise. (sometimes I omit the 2nd set 1 hour.)

Bake at 450º
