1/2 tsp cream of tartar
2 cups sugar
2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup water
dash of salt
flavoring and food color of choice

Directions:
Directions:
Cook to hard ball stage. Pour out onto buttered platter. Let cool to manageable and Pull, Pull and fold, repeat, and repeat. Add colorings and flavorings while pulling. Pull into a long rope, about 3/4" round. Cut into 1" pieces, and wrap in wax paper, twisting the wax paper at each end.
