5 qts. swiss chard ( just the stocks)
7 medium onions
1 T. mustard seed
1 T. celery seed
1 qt. vinegar
4 c. white sugar

SAUCE
1/2 c. cornstarch
1 tsp. tumeric
1 tsp. curry powder
2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 c. cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Take stems of swiss chard and cut up in small pieces. Sprinkle with salt and let stand for 2 hours. Cut up onions and add to chard. Let stand 1/2 hour longer. Drain well.

Combine vinegar, sugar, celery and mustard seed. Pour over chard and cook until tender. Mix up the sauce and add to chard and boil 15 min. Seal in jars.
