3/4 lbs. stewing chicken, cut up
2 medium onions, diced, divided
3 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
8 whole peppercorns
1-1/2 tsp. salt
3 stalks celery, diced
4 medium carrots, diced
sprig parsley, chopped

1 pckg egg noodles nedium width cook per directions

Directions:
In large pan, cover chicken with water; about 1-1/2" above. Add garlic, 1/2 onions, nutmeg, peppercorns, salt and parsley. Cook slowly for 2-1/2 hours. Add vegetables; cook 1 hour; strain.

Add carrots back to liquids. Remove skin from chicken, debone, cut in small chunks. Discard everything but broth and carrots return cut up chicken to kettle, and add prepared noodes.
