Preheat waffle iron.

BEAT UP IN A MIXER BOWL WITH A WIRE WISK ATTACHMENT UNTIL STIFF:
3 egg whites (save the yolks!!!)

REMOVE WHITES INTO SEPARATE BOWL.

BEAT TOGETHER IN MIXER BOWL:
1 and 1/2 c. milk
4 tbsp. melted margarine
3 egg yolks (the ones you saved)

SIFT OR MIX TOGETHER IN A SEPARATE BOWL:
1 and 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar

ADD DRY INGREDIENTS TO THE WET INGREDIENTS. BEAT THEM TOGETHER.

GENTLY FOLD IN THE BEATEN EGG WHITES WITH A RUBBER SCRAPER.

COOK THE WAFFLES IN A HOT WAFFLE IRON USING ABOUT 2/3 CUP BATTER FOR EACH. DO NOT LIFT THE LID OFF WAFFLE IRON TOO SOON OR THEY STICK.
