1 large frying chicken, cut up
2 T butter
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 1/2 c chicken stock
4 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place chicken pieces in one layer in a shallow roasting pan, and brush generously with melted butter. Sprinkle with seasoning, add chicken stock, and bake covered for 1 1/2 hours. Just before serving, add 4 T butter to stock and stir until melted. Serve in roasting pan of heatproof serving dish with pieces of French bread to dip in the sauce.
