1 c. milk
3 eggs
2 1/2 cups bread crumbs
1 c. cooked fruit
3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg yolks well, add sugar, milk, aged bread crumbs, cooked fruit, melted butter and egg whites beaten with 1/2 tsp of cream of tartar. Pour into dish and sprinkle with 2 Tbsp. sugar. Put baking dish in another pan and add 2 cups of water. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.

Preserves, cooked apples, cooked dried fruit, pineapple, coconut, canned peaches or floured raisins can be used as fruit.
