1 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. vegetable shortening
2 c. sugar
5 eggs, room temperature
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk , room temp., Add 1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract

Glaze:
2 tsp. grated orange peel
2 tsp. grated lemon peel
2 Tbsp. orange juice (fresh preferred)
2 Tbsp. lemon juice (fresh preferred)

Mix cake ingredients together. Bake in a Bundt pan for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when poked in the cake. Mix up glaze and drizzle over cooled, baked cake.
