1c Butter
2 c Sugar
1/4 tsp Salt
4 eggs
1 c Buttermilk
1/2 tsp baking soda
3 c sifted Flour
4 T Vanilla
1/2 tsp Almond Extract
1 c slivered Almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Cream Butter and sugar. Add eggs and salt, mix well. Add Buttermilk, mix well. In a separate bowl, blend flour and soda, add to sugar mixture. Add remaining ingredients and stir into a batter form. Pour into 2 buttered loaf pans, half full.
Bake at 350 for 60 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

Baked at Christmas Time, this delicious buttery sweet loaf is more like cake. Baked in small muffin cups and sprinkled with sugar also makes a pretty addition to your Holiday Buffet Parties.
