3 c flour
2 t baking powder
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
1 t nutmeg
1 c white sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Stir above ingredients together.
Mix in 2/3 c shortening and 1/2 c currants.
Mix well.
Add enough buttermilk t make dough east to handle, about 1 cup)
Roll out, cut in circles.
Bake until lightly browned 350 degree oven.
