1 lb. green shrimp
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1½ tsp. salt
1 whole lemon (cut in quarters)

Add all ingredients and 2 or three whole cloves and enough boiling water to not quite cover the shrimp. Cover kettle and cook slowly for 20 minutes. Let them cool in the water in which they have been cooked. Chill and peel. Serve cold with cocktail sauce.
