1st layer:
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter or margarine
16 ounce can of Hershey's syrup
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Mix with electric mixer. Bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes in greased jelly roll pan. Do not over bake. Refrigerate 20 minutes or until cool.
2nd layer: Use mixer
1 stick butter or margarine
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon peppermint extract or creme de menthe
Add a couple of drops of green food coloring
Spread over 1st layer.
3rd layer:
Melt 1 stick butter or margarine and 6 ounces of chocolate chips. Pour over layer 2.
