10 c. flour
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 package dry yeast
4 eggs
(add one egg for egg wash)
1 stick butter
2 c. hot milk 1/8 c. warm water

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Beat and add eggs along with milk which has the butter added to melt. Dissolve yeast in water and add to mixture. Mix well and knead by punching with hands. Grease hands with shortening for ease, adding flour as necessary. Place in large greased bowl, cover loosely with cloth and allow to rise to double in a warm place. Punch down, and shape into loaves or round ball and place in pans. Allow to rise to double in bulk; make small slits (2-3). Brush with 1 beaten egg with water on top and bake@310 degrees 30 minutes, then 300 degrees for 20 minutes. If browning too soon,then place foil loosely on top.
