2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine or butter
2 cups plain flour
1 cup chopped pecans
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cut margarine or butter into flour and mix with sugar and nuts. Save out 1 cup for topping. Add soda to buttermilk. Add egg, vanilla and buttermilk to flour mixture. Spread into 9x13 buttered pan or 2 round cake pans. Sprinkle top with reserved topping. Bake at 350º for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
