1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
1/4 lb. bacon, diced
2 medium onions, chopped
2 ribs celery, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
4 garlic cloves, chopped
1 cup beef broth
1 can (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes
1 can (15 oz.) tomato paste
2 bay leaves
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt, dried thyme, oregano, cumin, nutmeg
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions:
In large heavy pan over medium heat, cook beef, pork, bacon, onion, celery, carrots. Add garlic. Slowly add beef broth; cook 4-5 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, paste, bay leaves, sugar and seasonings. Reduce heat; cook 1-1/2 to 2 hours.

Discard bay leaves; add cream, butter, parsley; stir in Parmesan cheese.

Serve with pasta.
