1 stick buter
2 tbsp. flour
2 cups whole milk or cream
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. nutmeg.

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium-size fry pan over medium heat, melt butter; add flour and mix until there are no lumps. Add milk slowly, stirring until it starts to thicken. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Great on country fried steak, noodles.

* To make brown gravy, use beef broth in place of milk and omit nutmeg.
