4 c. cooked, diced chicken
4 c. cooked rice
salt and pepper
2 c. rich milk
1 c. mushrooms
1 c. blanched almonds
pimento

Directions:
Directions:
Make gravy by adding milk to chicken broth and thickening with flour. Season to taste. Slice mushrooms and brown in butter. Cut almonds in slices. Butter a casserole, cover bottom with rice. Place a layer of chicken over rice, add gravy, sprinkle with almonds, mushrooms and pimento. Repeat with a second layer of each. Sprinkle buttered crumbs over top. Bake 45 minutes in moderate oven.
