Cream together:
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. butter or margarine

Add:
1 c. vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix separately:
5 to 5 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Add to batter and mix thoroughly.
Directions:

Roll into balls. Dip top in sugar and flatten. Bake at 350º for 8 to 12 minutes.
