4 to 6 potatoes
1 onion
1 stalk of celery
salt

1 can white corn
1 can green chilies
4 c. milk
1 "hunk" butter
"Big hunk" of cheese (She liked Old English cheese)

1 tbsp cornstarch
3/4 c milk
pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cut up potatoes in small pieces. Cook in a little water to cover the potatoes; add onion, celery and salt until tender. When done smash up the potatoes a little to make kind of mushy. Add the corn, green chilies, milk, butter and cheese. While cooking, mix cornstarch and milk together and then add to soup after cheese melts. If you want you can sprinkle with pepper. Serve with bacon bits!

I asked Granny for this recipe after I got married and I can still remember her telling me word for word how to do it!! I have it written on her yellow legal paper! I miss her!!
