Directions:
To put out a grease/oil kitchen fire; pour baking soda or salt on the flames NOT water. You can also throw a large lid on the flames.
******
To make a Double Boiler; You need 2 pots, 1 slightly smaller then the other. In the larger pot add a few inches of water and place on medium/high heat. Right before the water comes to a boil, place the smaller pot into the larger one. You now have a double boiler.
******
Fun ice cubes for summer drinks, take ice cube tray and fill each about 1/2 full with water, add pieces of fruit and freeze. You can also add food coloring for color ice cubes.
******
It's important to use correct measuring utensils. Wet ingredients should be measured with utensils that have a pour spout. Dry ingredients should be measured with measuring cups meant for dry ingredients.
******
If you spill in your oven, while it's still hot pour a little water on it and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Don't keep your oven turned on. It should wipe right up.
******
Whether you use a gas grill or charcoal grill, if you spray the cooking rack with cooking spray it makes it easy to clean.
