1 lb ground beef
1 onion
1 can tomatoes, crushed
2 Tablespoons flour + water to thicken
1 can Brooks hot chili beans
1 can water (less if want thicker)
½ large container Chili powder (to taste)

Double recipe for freezing.

Directions:
Directions:
Brown beef & onion, pour off fat. Add tomatoes, chili beans, water and chili powder. Make a paste out of the flour mixed with water--should be pretty thick. Add to soup to thicken; stir thoroughly to avoid lumps.

Let it simmer for awhile--it needs to cook for at least an hour. It gets better the more you cook it. Add water to get to desired thickness. Can be made on stove or in crock pot. Top with raw onions, shredded cheddar cheese, corn/tortilla chips or saltine/oyster crackers.
