1/2 cup cornmeal
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups white flour
1/2 cup fat (mixture of margarine, butter, shortening & bacon fat)
1/2 tbsp salt
Mix like a pie crust.

Add:
2 cups liquid (milk or buttermilk)
1/2 tsp soda

Directions:
Directions:
Mix well. Pinch off enough dough (size of tennis ball) and roll out on floured table until very thin. Place on foil lined oven racks or large cookie sheet. Bake on one side about 4-5 minutes flip over and bake on other side at 350ºF.

This is a hard crisp bread which you break into pieces. To serve spread each piece with butter. Some like jam on it.
