3 cups flour
11/2 t. salt
11/2 t. baking soda
21/2 cups sugar
1 cup buttermilk
11/2 t. almond extract
1/2 cups butter
3 eggs
3 bananas
11/2 t. vanilla
1 cup oil

Glaze:
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup orange juice
1/2 t. vanilla
1/2 t. almond extract
2 T. melted butter
Put on top of bread while hot!

Sift the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt into the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment. Add the melted butter and blend. Combine the eggs, buttermilk, oil, vanilla, almond extract, and mashed bananas. Add all the above ingredients to the flour butter mixture. Don't overmix.
Bake at 350º for 11/2 hours. I usually cook for only 1 hour.
Makes 2 loaves
Put glaze over the top of warm bread!!!
