1 bag frozen butter peas
2 packets of Goya Ham Flavoring
Salt/Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Pour peas into medium size sauce pan. Discard any peas that are very dark in color. Cover with water and add flavor packets, salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil and turn down to low and cover. Cook for a couple of hours until tender. Make sure your pot does not run out of water. Place a toothpick under lid to allow steam to escape.
Taste.

This is a great side dish for roasted chicken. You can also serve the peas over rice.
Be careful that you don't buy butter beans by mistake.
