1 unsliced round loaf (1 lb) sourdough bread
1 lb Monterey Jack cheese, sliced
1 stick of butter, melted
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 c. finely chopped green onions
2 - 3 tsp poppy seeds
Directions:
Directions:
Cut the bread lengthwise and crosswise without cutting through the bottom crust, making square shaped pieces. Cut sliced cheese into strips and insert them in the cuts of the bread. Combine onion, garlic powder and poppy seeds with the melted butter. Drizzle over the bread. Wrap the bread in foil; place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake 10 minutes longer or until the cheese is melted. Makes a nice focal point on your buffet table and it's delicious too!
