2 eggs
¾ c. dark brown sugar
¾ c. white sugar
1 c. shortening (Crisco©)
1 tsp. vanilla
1½ c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
3 c. oatmeal (not instant)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix eggs, both sugars, shortening, and vanilla. Then, mix flour, salt, baking soda, and lastly mix chocolate chips and oatmeal (½ c. at a time of oatmeal).

Roll dough into palm-size cookie balls.

Cook at 350º for 11 minutes on cookie sheet.

With 5 minutes left, squeeze down cookie with spatula and continue baking.

Do not use a cooking stone, use only traditional cookie sheet.
