1 lb shelled plain almonds
4 egg yolks
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp rosewater
1/2 tsp bitter almond flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Blanch almonds then grind in food processor.
Work to a paste and add unbeaten egg yolks, flavorings & sugar.
Work mixture to consistency of dough.
Sprinkle pastry board/marble counter with icing sugar, and turn mixture out on it, or pat to shape of cake.
Moisten the cake itself with cold water, press icing on it and let stand 24 hour before covering with other icing.
