4 cups mashed potatoes, freshly cooked
3 cups cream style cottage cheese
¾ cup sour cream
3 Tbsp. onion, grated
3 tsp. salt
¼ tsp. white pepper
¼ cup butter
½ cup almonds, toasted, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Mash potatoes well, adding no milk or butter. Mix potatoes, cheese, sour cream, onion, salt and pepper together. Spoon into shallow, buttered 2-qt. casserole and brush the surface with the melted butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes; place under broiler for a few minutes to brown surface lightly. Sprinkle with almonds. NOTE: This may be prepared in the morning and cooked just before serving.
