1 egg
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. potatoes (mashed)
1/2 c. shortening
6 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 c. warm milk
1 1/2 c. warm water
2 pkgs. of dry yeast (dissolved in water)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar and potatoes, then add beaten egg. Put above mixture into flour, add milk, salt and water in which yeast has been dissolved. Let rise once, Punch down. Roll out 1/2 inch thick. Shape into doughnuts. Let rise again till twice the size. Deep fat fry doughnuts.
