Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Dough:
1 pkg yeast
1/2 c. plus 2 T. scalded milk, cool to lukewarm
1 c. butter
2 1/2 c. flour
4 egg yolks, beaten
1 T. sugar

Filling:
1/2 c. sugar
3 T. cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 cups of crushed pineapple with juice

Directions:
Directions:
To prepare filling: combine sugar, salt, cornstarch, water, egg and pineapple in a medium saucepan. Stir and cook over medium heat, until mixture comes to a boil and is thickened. Set aside to cool.
For dough: Dissolve yeast in cooled milk and add sugar. Let stand 5 minutes. Cut butter into flour until mixed then add yeast mixture and egg yolks. Mix well to form a ball of dough. Dough is quite soft and moist. (Roll out dough on a piece of well floured wax paper for easy transfer to pan). Divide dough in half, roll 1/2 of dough lightly to fit the bottom of a jelly roll pan (11 x 14). Spread cooled filling on top. Roll out top layer and put on top of filling. Trim and press edges together. Cut slits in top to allow steam to escape. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and drizzle with powdered sugar icing while warm.
Powdered sugar icing: 1 cup powdered sugar and enough warm water for spreading consistency. Cool and cut into slices.
