4 c. sugar
1 regular can evaporated milk
1/8 tsp salt
1 stick butter
1 c. peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, evaporated milk, salt to soft ball stage. Will take 5-7 minutes, stir constantly as mixture scorches easily. Remove from heat and add butter, peanut butter and vanilla. Beat fudge until it loses it's gloss and then pour into a greased 13 x 9 pan. Chill and cut into squares.

Variation: To make a chocolate fudge, instead of peanut butter add 1/3 c. cocoa or 3 squares of unsweetened chocolate and 1/2 c. nuts.
