12 cups water
2 pound dried navy beans
1 ham bone
1 cup ham cubes (at least)
3 small onions
1 clove garlic
2 teaspoons salt
2 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 carrots, cut in 1/4" dice
5 potatoes, diced (1/2"dice)
3 stalks celery (diced)
Salt to taste
Worcestshire sauce (to tasta)
Pepper to taste

Soak beans in water . Cover and cook on high 2 to 3 hours until tender (do not drain water from pot). Add remaining ingredients.

Cover and cook on low about 3 hours. Serve hot and garnish with chopped chives.
