1/4 cup shortening
11/2 cups sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup milk
2 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 cups blueberries (or cranberries)
1/4 cup additional flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, add sugar gradually, then well beaten eggs and vanilla; blend well. Stir in the milk alternately with the sifted flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well. Add the blueberries, sprinkled with the quarter cup of flour. Fill muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake in 350ºF oven for about 25 minutes.
